Where is the supporting evidence for the following claim?

"If there is one thing that we could speculate as being highly probable concerning the life style of primitive man, it is that he obtained his food primarily from the vegetable kingdom and ate it raw"

There is ample anthropological evidence that the exact opposite is true. Most primitive sites excavated have a prominent feature: a bone pit. Human beings have been faunivores for millennia.

Pre-humans were likely frugivores, like our nearest relatives the chimps. But when the forests began to recede and savannah and game began to take over, our earliest relatives exploited this new niche by becoming hunters. Most modern primitives are hunter-gatherers. How this usually plays out is that when game is plentiful, that's all they eat. This has been observed over and over again. Vegetable matter is a backup, not a primary source of food. The Hunza are an exception, not the rule.

Dr. Price started his search for primitives with perfect teeth fully expecting to find that they would be vegetarian. What he found was the exact opposite. Every group he studied preferred animal flesh, fat and bone. In fact he calls this "his greatest disappointment" because this finding ran counter to his expectation.
