Michigan DNR issues an order to kill specialty pigs as “invasive species” and arrest the farmers on felony charges

From Mike Adams at Natural News.com:

Meanwhile, in other news, it's becoming illegal to expose the practices of large scale industrial farms. You know, the sort of thing Upton Sinclair did with the meat packing industry in the early decades of the last century. Click image to go to Gawker to watch the video. If corporate interests have their way, you won't be seeing a lot of these kind of horror movies! Nothing like getting the power of government onside to help deal with upstart competitors.

“(NaturalNews) The state of Michigan is only days away from engaging in what can only be called true “animal genocide” — the mass murder of ranch animals based on the color of their hair. It’s all part of a shocking new “Invasive Species Order” (ISO) put in place by Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR). This Invasive Species Order suddenly and shockingly defines virtually all open-range pigs raised by small family farms to be illegal “invasive species,” and possession of just one of these animals is now a felony crime in Michigan, punishable by up to four years in prison.

The state has said it will “destroy” these pigs beginning in April, potentially by raiding local farms with government-issued rifles, then shooting the pig herds while arresting the members of the family and charging them with the “crime” of raising pigs with the wrong hair color. This may truly be a state-sponsored serial animal killing spree…”

Call Michelle Rosen of the Michigan DNR @ 517 336 5030 or emai:l Rosenm@michigan.gov to voice your concern over this corporate/governmental over reach of power.

I watched the video of this farmer’s family farm and his pigs. It is my hope that this coming week that people in the Michigan area will rally to stop this from happening. If the government goons succeed in this mission it won’t be just pigs that they go after, next mission could be dairy cows that are not black and white holstien’s, etc. etc,

    Thank you for posting this.

I think there is a time to be gentle and a time to drive it hard to people……there is nothing that irritates me more than the monopoly that has become agriculture….with its linear, profiteering, highly mechanised and prescriptive nature it has created a global veil of ignorance to the masses. Its not in their best interest for the consumer to be connected to their food. Animals that are born to live to die for you deserve more than their best day in a factory-its just unforgiveable. Humour me and watch the video….you know off the cuff-pigs are as smart as a 3 to 4 year old…..thats smarter than alot of people i know.

There is law and there are orders. Only one is enforceable. We forget that we have a choice to obey or resist. We’ve been trained to accept anything said by any govt agency as gospel and must be obeyed without question.
Only a legislator can pass a law that is binding. The rest depend on blind obeidence and fear.
Look up the words MUST and May, LEGAL and LAWFUL.
WE ARE NOT SLAVES, WE HAVE OPTIONS, the govt rules by the CONSENT OF THE PEOPLE.
If we don’t consent, they have no power over us, this is the big secret that they don’t want us to know about. They are trying to make fighting for freedom, resisting tryanny and speaking out on injustice criminal and acts of terrorism.
if you add up all the things working against being healthy, it does look like we are being killed softly, bit by bit, day by day. Our air to our water, our food to the medicine, is contaminated one way or another.
We breathe it, eat it, wash in it, wear it, drink it

This is what the U.S. did to the Haitians:

“By 1982, says the United States government almost 1/3rd of Haiti’s pig population was infected. A lot of Haitians (and many independent organizations) argue otherwise. What is not in contention is that the US in fear of the virus spreading to its own pig population pressured Haiti’s government to seize all of the pigs and kill them.

Everyone who had pigs seized were supposed to be compensated in the form of replacement pigs – fat, pink pigs from the American Midwest, deemed ‘better’ by the USDA. These pigs needed clean drinking water (which 80% of Haitians did not have access to), $90 dollars a year in feed (in a nation where per capita income was $130 dollars a year), vaccination, and special roofed pens to serve as protection from the harsh Caribbean sun.”
