GMOs as the Thalidomide of our time?

For those too young to have heard about it, Thalidomide was a drug prescribed to pregnant mothers in the late 50s and early 60s which resulted in the birth of horribly deformed babies.

From The Intel

The recent and long-term French study from the University of Caen found that eating genetically modified corn and consuming trace levels of Monsanto’s Roundup chemical fertilizer caused rats to develop horrifying tumors, widespread organ damage, and premature death.

This study has been deemed “the most thorough research ever published into the health effects of GM food crops and the herbicide Roundup on rats.”

The study found:

  • Up to 50% of males and 70% of females suffered premature death.
  • Rats that drank trace amounts of Roundup (at levels legally allowed in the water supply) had a 200% to 300% increase in large tumors.
  • Rats fed GM corn and traces of Roundup suffered severe organ damage including liver damage and kidney damage.
  • The study fed these rats NK603, the Monsanto variety of GM corn that’s grown across North America and widely fed to animals and humans. This is the same corn that’s in your corn-based breakfast cereal, corn tortillas and corn snack chips.

The study caused Russia to ban imports of U.S. GM corn due to the cancer risk.

France and most of Europe have effectively banned feeding GM crops to humans and Monsanto was found guilty of ‘chemical poisoning’ earlier this year.

In the Unites States, one in two men and one in three womenget cancer. What role does GM corn and soy play, which are common in most processed foods?

Walmart sells GM corn to its customers without labeling it as such.

Russian biologist Alexey V. Surov, and his colleagues were determined to discover if Monsanto’s genetically modified soy, grown on 91% of US soybean fields, leads to problems in growth or reproduction.

They found that after feeding hamsters for two years over three generations, those on the GM diet, and especially the group on the maximum GM soy diet, showed devastating results.

By the third generation, most GM soy-fed hamsters lost the ability to have babies. They also suffered slower growth, and a high mortality rate among the pups.

Scientific studies have linked Monsanto’s GM corn to organ failure.

Other studies have linked GM foods to cancer. Monsanto’s GM-derived rBGH (which is a genetically-altered growth hormone given to dairy cows to make them more milk) was shown to increase the production of IGF-1 from 70-1000%.

IGF-1 is a very powerful hormone that has been linked to a 2.5-4 times higher incidence of human colon, breast and prostate cancer.

Even Monsanto’s employees refuse to eat GM foods.

As the Health Ranger opined, GM foods appear to be the new Thalidomide, that morning sickness drug from the late 1950s that was quickly recalled for its deadly side effects.

It must also be noted that world famous researchers that expose the dangers of GM foods are routinely threatened, fired, ostracized and their findings denied by questionable “experts” with conflicts of interest. Studies proving GM food health risks are also routinely rejected by bought-and-paid-for government officials.

For many years Jeffrey Smith has been exposing the dangers of GM foods combined with government corruption. Much of his research can be viewed at the Institute for Responsible Technology….”

From Anthony Gucciardi on

“The debate as to whether or not genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are causing serious health issues like infertility and even death is proclaimed as ‘heated’ and ‘inconclusive’ by the mainstream media, but even the very scientists working behind the scenes appear to acknowledge the reality of their effects. In one such communication I received from a very angry biotech scientist who proclaimed it was ‘awesome’ if GMOs were causing mass infertility and death, it becomes tragically clear that even many of the scientists working in the biotech field know full well that GMOs are causing significant bouts of disease across the globe.

Independently verified by both our team and a separate team of experts, this biotech scientist who works for a well-known firm was either apathetic or ignorant to ways in which you can conceal your identity through more advanced methods than what he utilized. Using profanity and a few words in all capital letters, it’s easy to see just how outraged this scientist is that in my article I deemed those who create GMOs and unleash them on the public without proper warning to be ‘traitors to humanity’. It appears he must have also read the comment section, where readers voiced their own (oftentimes stronger) opinions on these scientists.

In the email, the biotech scientist known as ‘Ed’ explains how he thinks it’s absolutely ‘awesome’ that GMOs are contributing to infertility, as he believes the world is overpopulated. He also attacks me personally for my work on warning the public over the dangers of GMOs (particularly the latest news over the research linking GMOs to organ failure and tumor development). As of right now we have not released the full name of ‘Ed’ nor his organization, but we may in the future after considering the legal concerns.

Here is the Full Email:

I am no traitor against humanity. If this **** causes infertility… Awesome!!

The world is over-populated, and people need to stop having children. This is one of earth’s largest problems.

If the earth wasn’t overpopulated, things like growth hormones wouldn’t EXIST.

The reason they do, is that the earth cannot produce enough food on its own to feed us all.

This is why GMO is actually saving the planet.

So **** you and your ********. I am doing humanity a ******* FAVOR!!!

A REAL ‘traitor to humanity’

  1. Great analogy, keep up the good work! 🙂 Our lives depend upon it.

    Well done, the Bovine.

    And well said, Inalienable Wrights.

I regard this planet as essentially ‘cooked’. Over, finished, done. The psychopaths have won.

But I do believe the Buddhist doctrine of rebrith and karma.

So, everyone, please continue the struggle.

  3. Same old story. Remember what happened to Frances Kelsey:
insinuations that she was a bureaucratic nitpicker, unreasonable – even, she said, stupid.

Even worse was what happened to Willliam McBride, the origional thalidimide whistle-blower who had the audacity to not only testify as expert witness for damaged children but also to continue researching the teratogenicity of other drugs being marketed to pregnant women:

This is an excellent posting. The video documentary is one of the best expose’ on GMO’s I have seen to date – Very Well Done.

I believe that the whole Monsanto industry is about to self destruct, and it is about time! Not just the Monsanto Industry – but now that people are becoming more and more informed – all those alphabet organizations such as FDA, EPA, MSM … will now be held accountable for being complicit in crimes against humanity. They only have the power because the ignorance of the populace have allowed them to abuse their position of power. They really are few, we are the populace.

To all the farmers whom have suffered so much, throughout the years, from the above mentioned alphabet agencies. You have suffered losses, because for the most part, the populace has been oblivious to your plight and the truth regarding food corporations, and their controlled “protective” organizations. I cannot thank you all enough for standing strong on behalf of us consumers and future generations. When this battle is won and the populace knows the full truth you will be known as the hero’s for having stood. The populace is Waking Up – FINALLY!

It has been a long dark battle for many of you safe food suppliers, but as the saying goes “It is always darkest before the dawn.”

    Thank you.

Forget about the recall on beef, it is safer than most of what we have on our pantry shelves and within our fridge. Forget about swat teaming raw dairy farmers and lets go back 30 years to when we had raw dairy products delivered directly from the farm to our doors.

We neeed a recall on all factory farmed GMO food – margarine, oil, grains, vegetables, etc. – and while we are at it lets recall pasturized dairy products too. Lets get radical and concentrate making our food supply TRULY SAFE!
