“Windsor on Monday joined the growing number of municipalities which have voted to end the decades-old practice of adding fluoride to the water supply in the fight against tooth decay.

“A lot has changed in the last 60 years … fluoride is not the be-all and end-all to prevent tooth decay,” said Mayor Eddie Francis, who voted with the majority.

“Do not be the municipal council known for making a health decision against the advice of your health advisers,” said Dr. Mark Drkulec, president of the Essex County Dental Association.

The safety and the effectiveness of fluoride added to municipal water to help in the fight against tooth decay is “the general consensus of the scientific community,” said Dr. Allen Heimann, the local medical officer of health. “I’m using the best scientific information that is provided to me,” he added, citing studies and reports from such agencies as Health Canada, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.

But opponents of continuing with a practice that began more than 50 years ago in Windsor were quick to draw on their own list of experts, studies and reports to support their contention that Windsor should join the growing number of Canadian communities, including Lakeshore, Tecumseh, Amherstburg, Calgary and Waterloo, that have voted to end fluoridation…..”

  1. And as expected the psychopaths responsible for poisoning and brain damaging children for the past 30 years will face no civil much less criminal penalties for their crimes.

  2. Out in Lotus Land

Vancouver, Nanaimo, Victoria, and most places in BC have never had fluoride added to their water — it’s a “non-issue” here. Congratulations to Windsor for taking this courageous step! 🙂

  3. Fluoride is a carcinogenic waste product of fertilizer, metals and other industrial processing manufacturers. It is also the main ingredient in rat poison, nerve gas and Prozac. This chemical agent has been present in the water supply in America for several generations, but this sick and twisted idea actually began to protect toxic fluoride polluting industries from increasing lawsuits as a result of the damage caused to the environment near their production facilities, expensive disposal costs of a pollutant, banned by the EPA as an environmental contaminant and to hide the knowledge of fluoride being discovered as essential for the production of the atom bomb. Hence, follow the money: national security, profits and healthy teeth are the excuses for having created the fantasy that fluoridation protects children’s teeth against tooth decay when it does nothing of the sort.

Having recognized these facts, Windsor City Councillors politely told the so-called experts to buzz off and stop poisoning Windsorites.

It’s time the rest of our Canadian cities do the same. I and a number of others will not rest until it is done.

    • You are pretty much spot on Richard. A big reason for putting fluoride in the water is to save money but it is also a lot bigger than that. It is part of a widespread eugenics program to knowing and purposely damage the health of millions of people. This parallels the malevolent placing of mercury into vaccines, and GMO’s, MSG, aspartame and more in the food supply.

These city council people are not hero’s… they are criminals. They condoned the drugging of people without their consent, without a way to monitor the dose, and without ANY safety testing as is done on all other drugs fed to human beings.

Water is not the only vector for fluoride either. Large amounts are now in the food supply. It is used as a pesticide on vegetables and is used as a fumigant in grain silo’s.

The answer at least in the states is to get rid of every federal agency that purports to protect our health, not only because this is not a proper job of government, but because in reality it has done the exact opposite and endangered our health by being owned by special interests. In the free market this would be very unlikely to happen as certification agencies that failed to protect our health would be shunned by consumers in favor of those that did.

  4. That those at the top never thought for a moment that fluoride was effective against tooth decay. This claim is absurd. Do your home work and you will see what a farce this claim is. What they put into the water is not fluoride by any stretch of the imagination. Do your homework on this one also.

Fluoridegate is a new documentary film, made by By Dr. David Kennedy, that reveals the tragedy of how the United States government, industry, and trade associations protect and promote a policy known to cause harm to our country and especially small children, who suffer more than any other segment of the population.
While the basis of their motivation remains uncertain, the outcome is crystal clear: it is destroying our nation.
Dr. Kennedy is the Past President of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. His BA is in Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of Kansas (1967) and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery is from the University of Missouri (1971).
He is a world lecturer to the dental profession on the safety of dental materials in the human body. His lectures include (among others) addresses to the World Health Organization, the American Dental Society of Europe, the German BGD, and Brazil Rio Eco-Odonto.
