Lawsuit launched in California over the use of an unapproved drug (Fluoride) in municipal water supplies

From Augie, at the Journal of Natural Food and Health:

It is high time to hold municipal and state governments liable for the health damages caused by the unethical and illegal use of industrial fluoride wastes in water supplies as a potent drug. By the way, this is national fluoride awareness week, so I am pleased this important law suit was filed today. –Augie

Half of children chronically diseased

From Augie’s “Journal of Natural Food and Health”:

“….American children are suffering more and more disorders—and are growing into even sicker adults—the worst of most major countries. Two studies were released this week underscore this alarming reality.

In a study published in Academic Pediatrics, an estimated 43% of US children (32 million) currently have at least 1 of 20 chronic health conditions assessed, increasing to 54.1% when overweight, obesity, or being at risk for developmental delays are included. The estimate is derived from 2007 data—4 years old. This tells us matters are much worse now–perhaps 50% are now chronically ill not counting obesity. Continue reading

Food and farm control bill snagged

from Augie’s “Journal of Natural Food and Healing”:

“The so-called Food Safety Control S510 bill with the so-called savior Tester-Hagan amendments may now be passed back to the overwhelming approving Senate. This is a perfect example of hard-ball politics of division, where half the food freedom folks are for it and half against it.

Typically, federal control bills are written to appease large  stakeholders, then revised to include most stakeholders, changed several times in the process, including having several bills of different names. In this battle, the war on food controls by the corporate/government  partnership, the magic trick is to appear to save the small farms producing local foods, yet provide the legal and regulatory framework, with funding, to take it all way. “….Here is the quote he [Francis Thicke] sent me and four others in a personal note:

“Iowa has one of the most restrictive laws against raw milk in the nation.  No raw milk sales are allowed, even on the farm.   If I am elected, I intend to work with the legislature to try to get a bill passed to allow raw milk sales to consumers who come to a farm to buy the milk. If we could get that passed, it would be a big step forward.” Francis Thicke, Candidate for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture. Continue reading
