To whom it may concern,

If you print my attached letter, please do not edit out the solutions that I give people as you have in previous letters. I have a feeling that I will not see this letter in print because Monsanto likes to give out lawsuit so freely, and have been very good at silencing anyone who speaks out. I also know that you strive hard not to offend your advertisers.

What’s with these people who seem to be demanding yet MORE regulations?

From a story in the Edmonton Journal “The Nanny State runs amok”:

“What do the following have to do with one another: a California lawsuit against McDonald’s Happy Meals, unlicensed pig butchering and raw milk sales? They’re all examples of the nanny-state mentality gone mad.

Just this week it was announced that the American advocacy group, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Monet Parham, a 41-year-old Sacramento mother of two. Parham feels McDonald’s should be forbidden from advertising burgers or chicken nuggets in combination with a free toy because these Happy Meals appeal to children who then pester their parents to bring them to the fast-food chain.

Edmonton farmers scramble to upgrade their raw milk dairy to meet Cow Share Canada standards of operation

“EDMONTON — Edmonton-area farmers are scrambling to restructure an unpasteurized dairy business after a prominent raw milk advocate withdrew support this week.

On Monday, Ontarian farmer and raw milk advocate Michael Schmidt was in front of Alberta legislature, championing unpasteurized milk — which is currently illegal in Canada — as safe and healthier than pasteurized milk products sold in grocery stores.

The following excerpts are from a story in the Edmonton Journal Nov. 9 by Karen Kleiss titled “Farmer Brings Crusade for Raw Milk”:

Raw milk advocate Michael Schmidt brought his fight to legalize the distribution of unpasteurized dairy products to Alberta on Monday.

“I am here to mark this day as a turning point,” Schmidt told supporters on the steps of the legislature. “A turning point because we the farmers, we the consumers, we as concerned people of Canada are officially rejecting those who pass regulations without respecting our fundamental rights.”

It is illegal to sell raw milk in Canada, but Schmidt and his supporters say raw, unpasteurized milk is healthier than pasteurized supermarket milk and perfectly safe.
