    I too, got a live person at Mr. McGuinty’s office. Very nice and very polite. There is strength in numbers. I have a good feeling that raw milk legality is on the horizon! If you haven’t already, call his office, its the only way he will see that there really is interest in Food Freedom!

    I got a real person also but while I was waiting my tern ,a voice came on saying,” a customer service agent will be with you shortly”!!!?? Thought for a minute I was calling Bell Canada and got India!! I told the person I was not aware we were customers.

    I own a cow and drink raw milk everyday. I think my health has been much better since I have started drinking raw milk. My 2 kids drink it, my wife drinks it and I really wish that more people could drink such healthful and delicious milk. We only grass feed our cow and enjoy fresh yoghurt and butter. What concerns me in this campaign, is the vitriol against health authorities. Does Mr. Schmidt propose an alternative to the health authority? Also, I know that he is a supporter of the Conservative party, and would like to dismantle the supply management system. Does he have a plan for making milk available at reasonable costs to poor people, while also maintaining a reasonable income for dairy producers?

      It’s been ‘awhile’ since health authorities anywhere have actually been concerned with health. It is all power and control these days. The ‘vitriol’, as you call it and worry over, is well-deserved.

        Dear Nedlud, your one sided comments include name calling and accusations of fascism. Your lack of respect and discipline are hinderances in the movement to allow access to healthful food. Our efforts to ensure the ability of Canadian people eat good food must always be respectful. If you simply want to be right, continue on. But if your real goal is the promotion of a healthy society, than we must be sure that the message is respectful and educational.

      Ian, addressing your points: 1) Grass fed is best; grain gives runny manure– a clue that it isn’t the right feed. 2) Health authorities have their role, but it seems that they, or at least the provincial government behind them, have an unfair bias when it comes to picking on raw milk, when plenty of other items have proven to be far less safe, yet are allowed to continue. 3) Schmidt has proposed Cowshare Canada, which is intended to guide and monitor standards for cowshare co-ops, assuming gov’t doesn’t kill them. He doesn’t want fly by night operations, or dairymen who are well-intended but naive about risks. (- See the five-part YouTube video). 4) Schmidt was a nomination contender once for the Green Party, and later for the Conservatives, but both times lost. If you know him, you know he’s not a political partisan, just looking for any way to bring some needed new directions. 5) 150 or so members of Schmidt’s own cowshare don’t pay unusual prices; cutting out the middleman helps; it’s also a great way to make a re-connection of consumer and farmer –responsiveness and responsibility on each side. DFO (milk marketing board) hasn’t done anything for the poor, has it? Co-ops reconnect community — a good idea.

    If this (calling and sending letters, emails) is your passion, people pour it on!

    I wouldn’t worry about being too polite.

    For a long long time, we’ve been told to abandon emotion (which connect us to deeper things) for logic and reason and scientificism. It is these three things, precisely, that have given such rise to fascism, because they allow for bureaucratic manipulation. Successful bureaucratic and fascist manipulations result in people’s feelings being monitored and controlled and directed only in ways that profit the fascist system. Fear and mind numbing repetition and false authority are the components of fascism.

    Don’t worry about being too polite.

    I spoke to a real person this morning who curtly told me she would pass on the message of my call. I was also told that written correspondence will be redirected to the office of the ministers who that deal with such matters. No response would be given to letters pertaining to matters which are before the courts. That is not the the message or tone I received with my other calls on previous days. It seems someone is trying a new tactic…but we won’t go away that easily.

      Neither will they. Fascists never give up without a fight, a very long murderous bloody fight and as soon as you/we win, they start creeping up on you/we right away again. Fascists=psychopaths, and psychopaths have only dominatio and control on their minds, that is what makes them psychopaths and fascists.
